Our newest innovation: The Hammer Thickener

This unit takes standard municipal sludge in your aerated digester and thickens it to its maximum potential. Typical results are between 25000 to 50000 Mg/L TSS.

We started with digester sludge in the 8500 TSS range and 1 of our units at our customer’s 1.2 MG/D WWTP.

The customer did not have to haul any sludge for the first 15 days.

Effluent from the HammerThickener is returned to the clarifier.

After the initial thickening period (14-21 days) normal sludge hauling resumed but was reduced by 75%.

This unit runs 24/7, needs only one 110V 20 Amp circuit and has a footprint of about 4 sq./ft.

Total digester volume at this particular location was 380K gal.

Savings in hauling costs alone would allow them to cover the unit cost in less than 7 days.

For press operations or centrifuge separation, doubling the sludge thickness cuts operation time by 50%, makes a better cake or allows you to process more in a single shift.

What are you doing with your Process liquid or Wastewater ?

Our POWER SCREEN system technology can be applied to other types of screen units (Static Screens, Side Hill Screens, Bar Screens etc.) to increase their current flow rate or the same flow rate with a smaller screen opening size.
